Björn Wittrock Has Been Appointed a Vice President of Academia Europaea

In November this year, former SCAS Principal Björn Wittrock was appointed a Vice President
of Academia Europaea. Wittrock has been a Member of the Academy since 2001 and was
elected Chair of of its Class A2 - Social and Related Sciences in 2017. As a Class Chair/ Vice-
President, he is also a member of the Academy’s Board of Trustees.

Academia Europaea was founded in 1988 as an international, non-governmental association of
distinguished scientists and scholars from all disciplines. Membership is by invitation.
